Around Issuk Kul Lake 5 days and 4 nights
Lake Issyk Kul is located at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level, it is the second large lake in the world located at an altitude of more than 1500 meters above sea level. We will make a tour around the lake, visit petroglyphs in the town of Cholpon Ata, Burana Tower near the town of Tokmok. We will visit the town of Karakol and the famous red rocks of Jeti Oguz, spend the night in a traditional Kyrgyz yurt on the shore of the lake and explore the Ak Sai canyons in the arid Ton region.
Meeting at the airport (hotel upon arrival is not included) and transfer to Issyk-Kul along the Northern shore (270 km). On the way you will visit the Burana Tower (XI - XII ) – the minaret of the ancient town Balasagun. Continue driving to Issyk-Kul. It is the second largest alpine lake in the world (1600 m. above sea level). Overnight at the hotel. Meals: Breakfast/Dinner
After breakfast transfer to Karakol. On the way, a visit to an open air museum of petroglyphs (V BC – VIII AD). Sightseeing tour on arrival at Karakol: visit to Russian Orthodox Church, the Dungan mosque which is built without using a single metal nail, and the museum of M.V. Prejvalsky. Dinner at cafe. Overnight at the hotel. Meals: Breakfast/Dinner
Transfer to Jety-Oguz gorge (40 km) – the picturesque gorge, which is famous not only for its coniferous forest, flower clearings and interesting gorges for hiking, but also for red and sandy formations which are called «Seven Bulls» and «Broken Heart». Picnic. Transfer to Bokonbaevo Village. Dinner and overnight at a home stay. Meals: Breakfast/Dinner
Transfer to Bishkek city. Sightseeing tour on arrival; you will visit central Ala-Too Square, Manas statue, flagpole, Lenin statue, Oak Park, Opera and Ballet Theatre, Museum of Fine Arts, Victory Square – Philharmonic hall and Osh market. Farewell dinner. Overnight at the hotel. Meals: Breakfast/Dinner
