"Jeti Oguz" Highlights
This is the most popular trekking route of 3 days and not very difficult. This route is a great way to explore picturesque meadows and gorges where only animals and shepherds live. During this trip you can get amazing emotions and a charge of natural energy, you will take unforgettable photos and get acquainted with precarious families in yurt camps. During the tour all nights will be spent in our cozy and hospitable yurts, so there is no need to carry tents and other equipment. Take a light backpack and enjoy hiking in the picturesque corner of Kyrgyzstan.
After breakfast we leave for Zhuku Gorge, which is 40 kilometers away from Karakol town. Trekking starts from the foothills and goes to the east through red rocks formed by bizarre shapes. The route of the first day passes through the foothills of Tien Shan in the forest belt and summer pastures. On the left you will see the beautiful Ysyk Kol on the right high snow-capped mountains and stunning views of the Kyrgyz Mountains. The trek is quite long and we have to walk about 18 km. Travel time is 6-7 hours. Overnight in Ak Tash yurt camp, where the hospitable family of Mr. Mirlan is waiting for us. Dinner and overnight stay in the yurt.
After a hearty breakfast our trekking will go towards Kok Jaiyk valley, this picturesque gorge is very popular among locals and tourists. It literally attracts nature lovers. Here you can see the waterfall and enjoy the beauty of the valley surrounded by majestic mountains. The first part of the route will take you to the Suttu Bulak Pass, the peak of which is 3000 meters above sea level. Then you will descend into the valley to the yurt camp of Mr. Bakyt's family. Here we will have dinner in a pleasant atmosphere. The second day of the route takes about 5-6 hours of trekking.
Today is our last day of trekking, we will walk through alpine meadows and summer pastures among shepherds and domestic animals to the red rocks of the Yrdyk valley. At the end of the trek we will have an amazing view of unusual red rocks of different shapes covered with Tien Shan forest. Distance is about 13 km. 4-5 hours trekking. Transfer to Karakol upon arrival in the valley.
