The Best Of "Tien Shan"
The most fascinating route in the mountain range "Teskei Ala Too" better known as "Tien Shan" is a trip to the valley Kyzyl Suu with a view of the glacier Kara Batkak and the pass Archa Tor (3890 meters). In this tour we will visit the foot of the majestic mountain "Oguz Bashy" whose height reaches 5168 meters above sea level. Many of the world's photographers of natural attractions must include this peak in their list as the view is truly breathtaking.
During the tour we will meet local nomads who live in the mountains with their families and guard their livestock. Many of them still live the nomadic life of the ancient Kyrgyz.
Diluting the landscape with high ridges, deep gorges and powerful flow of mountain rivers, we will pass along the edge of the red rocks of the Yrdyk Gorge, where nature has created a unique relief of a small mountain range of red color.
Transfer from Karakol city to Kyzyl Suu valley ( 40km) After breakfast we will drive to the starting point of our journey, we will drive along Teskey mountain range towards great snowy peaks on the south of Karakol. After 1 hour driving we will get to the entrance of Kyzyl Suu valley, today we will walk to the first camp site before Archa Tor pass. Our trekking goes along Mountain River and Kyzyl Suu valley. Trekking hours 4-5, camping at 2800 meters elevation, overnight in the tent
Crossing Archa Tor Pass (3840 meters above sea level) After breakfast our trekking will continue towards Archa Tor Pass, this is highest point during our joinery and one of the most beautiful panoramic views from the top of the pass. The first part of trekking is not that upright we will hike around 3-4 hours to get to the top of the pass. On the top we will make a stop for lunch, (depends on the weather conditions) than trek down to Jeti Ogyz gorge. Our camping spot will be on the bank of Jeti Ogyz River. Walking hours 5-6-7, overnight in the tent.
Today we will cross second Pass during our hike. “Kum Bel Pass” – 3400 meters elevation above sea level. This pass is unique with an option to recognize high Mountains and green valleys of Jeti Ogyz gorge, we will meet shepherds and nomadic families. From the top of the pass is also possible to see Issuk Kol Lake and villages on the bottom of Teskey Mountain Range. Trekking time 4-5-6 hours, overnight on the Northern side of Kum Bel Pass.
Last Day of our Journey, we will walk down to “Yrdyk” gorge. The trail goes along unique red Rocks formation; this is unusual place make you feel like on the other planet. We will walk through the forest and get to summer pasture. Our driver will wait us there. Trekking time 3-4 hours, transfer to Karakol – 40 min
