Ascent to the "Peak Palatka".

The upper part of the Arashan Gorge is closed by a giant icy peak - the Aksu Wall, 5022 m high. The magnificent view of the majestic peak opens directly from the base camp. For its specific shape Aksuyskaya wall is nicknamed “Palatka Peak”. A huge snowy peak with a height of more than 5 thousand meters, in shape similar to a snow-white tent, like a magnet beckons tourists, so they want to come closer to it, touch it, feel the breath of this huge majestic mountain.



Day 1: Karakol city - Altyn Arashan - Eki Chat

Early morning departure from Karakol to Altyn-Arashan gorge to the hot springs (we can go higher). It will take about two hours by car and then we will hike up the Arashan river to Eky-Chat area, camp at about 2800m. Walking time is about 4-5 hours.

Day 2: Ascent to Tashtak Tor valley

Departure after breakfast, the day will be quite hard but very beautiful, there will be view to glaciers, rivers and "Aksuyskaya Stena" peak. We will pass big rocks and then we will have crossing "Tashtak-Tor" valley (stony in translation) and along the river coming out to moraine and camping on about 3700m.The trip will take about 5-7 hours.

Day 3: TAshtak Tor - Hatidza Pass

Departure early in the morning, today we have to climb to the pass "Hatidzha" 4200m. The ascent to the pass is dangerous in some places - there are rock falls on this morning when it is still cold to avoid rock fall, ice route we will go in crampons. The camp will be on the glacier "Sary-Chat" at the altitude of 4200m. It will take about 2-4 hours to reach the pass. After lunch we will prepare for ascent, check equipment, safety measures, ice training (work on ice slope, passing through cracks, insurance of participants on dangerous sections, etc.).

Day 4: To The Top of Palatka Peak

Attack on the summit, early in the morning we will try to reach the summit of Peak Palatka. The route is snow and ice, overnight in the same camp.

Day 5: Descent to Khatidza Pass

departure early in the morning, descend from “Khatidzha” pass 4200m to “Eky-Chat” area 2800m . We will put the camp. Time of descent is about 6-8 hours.

Day 6: Eki Chat to Altyn Arashan

After breakfast we descend to "Altyn-Arashan" (hot spring), time of descent is about 4-5 hours, spend the night in a yurt, take a hot natural bath and drink some beer.

Day 7: Altyn Arashan - Karakol

after breakfast walk to the wild springs "Swallow's Nest" and drive to Karakol.
