"Ak Suu Traverse "

This is a real mountain trek along the ridges and gorges of the Tien Shan with passes at over 3500 meters, endless alpine meadows, overnight camping, fords, glaciers and ascents.

But we won't be carrying heavy backpacks. Isn't that wonderful! We will be accompanied by horses that will help us carry most of our belongings. Thanks to this we will be able to see more beauties in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, feel the incredible and greatness of these places.

We will carry only what is necessary during the day: raincoat, sweater, snack. And of course a camera!

Day 1: Karakol city - Jyrgalan village - Terim Tor Pass

Our way starts from Karakol city to Zhyrgalan, a small industrial village, we will drive along the picturesque road to the village where our trekking starts. The trekking time is about 1 hour. Upon arrival we will meet our guides and load our equipment on the horses. Today we have to walk about 10 km and spend the night in a tent camp at the foot of the Terim Tor Pass, a great day for acclimatization! Camp at an altitude of 2800 meters

Day 2: Terim Tor Pass - Tyrgon Ak Suu valley

After breakfast we cross our first pass of this route, the top of the pass is at an altitude of 3500 meters, further we descend to the amazing beauty of the gorge Turgon Ak Suu where we will camp. The gorge is very picturesque and is used as a summer pasture by cattle breeders. The crossing is about 12 km.

Day 3: Tyrgon Ak Suu - Boz Uchuk Pass - Boz Uchuk Lakes

Today we will cross the Boz Uchuk Pass and spend the night near picturesque lakes, passing through alpine meadows at 3500 meters above sea level. It is hard to imagine that in winter these areas are under a thick layer of snow and it is possible to freeride here! Enjoying the beautiful scenery we will reach our camp near the Boz Uchuk Lakes. The distance is about 11 km, the camp is at an altitude of 3000 meters.

Day 4: Boz Uchuk Lakes - Jergez valley

After breakfast we go to the gorge Zhergez, we have to cross the pass of 3500 meters with a steep ascent and descent, our camp will be located at an altitude of 3000 meters near the glacial lake. If we have enough time we can visit a small waterfall. The distance of the trek is 12 km.

Day 5: Jergez valley -Ailanysh Pass - Almaluu

Our route passes through the Ailanysh Pass, the height of which is 3670 meters, we have already crossed several passes and this pass will be the highest, for us will open an amazing panorama of the glacier "Kashka Suu", we will descend to the gorge Alamaluu where you can meet shepherds with their families. The peaceful silence will reset your state and leave you with unforgettable impressions! Distance 12 km, maximum altitude 3670 meters.

Day 6: Almaluu valley - Ortok Pass - Altyn Arashan gorge ( hot springs)

After breakfast we cross our last pass of the day, the Ortok Pass, which is located at an altitude of 3600 meters and offers a breathtaking view of the mighty Tashtanbek Tor Bashy Peak. It is a pyramid shaped peak, the view of which is simply mesmerizing. From the pass we descend along the Anyr Tor Gorge to the famous Altyn Arashan Gorge, where we stop to bathe in the hot springs and relax among the beautiful mountain peaks. Distance 11 km

Day 7: Altyn Arashan - Ak Suu - Karakol

After breakfast we say goodbye to our team of grooms and thank our horses for their hard work. We drive on a steep and rocky road to the town of Karakol, the transfer takes about 2-3 hours. End of the tour
