Horseback riding tour to Altyn Arashan
On horseback you can visit the Altyn Arashan Gorge, it is a fascinating and at the same time unforgettable journey! Kyrgyzstan is a country of not only mountains but also beautiful horses! The Altyn Arashan Gorge is a picturesque place located in the heart of the Tien Shan Mountains, surrounded by a chain of majestic mountains where nomads have always lived, a lot of yurt camps and hot springs of hydrogen sulfide as well as snow-capped peaks will make your vacation invaluable!
Transfer from Karakol to Ak Suu village where we will meet our guide. After a short briefing we ride up through Altyn Arashan valley. Our way takes along the river on the gravel road. Sometimes we can meet tracks on the road. After 16 km ride we will arrive to Yrt camp where we will have lunch and rest after riding. After lunch we will make a short hike around and back to the camp. In the evening we will enjoy the natural hot springs where the temperature of the water can be around +45 C. Overnight and dinner at Yrt Camp.
After a delicious breakfast we will have a short walk before getting on the horses to enjoy once again this amazing scenery and start our journey. Our way is back through the Altyn Arashan valley, we will reach Ak Suu village where our driver is waiting for us to take us to Karakol. Travel time is 2-3 hours.
